Mind Set Matters for All Successful People

by admin, 64 Comments »

so many people ask Gordon and I how we stay positive day in and day out and all that we can say is that mind set matters.

There are many people that will try to throw you off track for one reason or another. People that are unhappy with their own situation or maybe harbor jealousy but for what ever reason they will try to take you out of your mindset.

We make a conscious decision each and every day to look at the positive side of any situation and not harbor anger. We make a decision to be happy and learn the lessons that life has to teach, gracefully.

Mind set is essential to us to live the way that we have chosen to live.

Sometimes you need to look deeper than at other times but in mostly all situations there is something positive if you look at it with the right perspective.

You Are in The Posssession Of The Greatest Gift.

by admin, 49 Comments »
titleYou Are in The Posssession Of The Greatest Gift.

You posesss the greatest Gift

The greatest gift bestowed upon mankind is in your possession.  You may think that it is freedom.  You may even think that it is the gift of knowledge.  You would be wrong with both of those gifts and I do not mean to minimize their importance.

The greatest gift given to mankind is the freedom of Choice as it leads to many other gifts.  When you make a choice to gain knowledge it is a choice that you have made.    The freedom of choice is the beginning, and most of all the gifts you will receive in your life will result from the freedom we have to make a choice.

What type of choices are you making in your life?  Choices that will move you forward or keep you in the place of mediocrity.

Do you know the outcome you desire for your life?  Do you hold fast to your dreams?  Do you stay on task?  Do you Quit?

You see these are all choices that we make each day.  I say yes, yes, and yes but no I will never quit.

Are you like “most people” that quit when the going gets rough or when exhaustion sets in?  Make a choice today to see exhaustion as a precursor to victory and when the road gets rough it gives you a challenge to see if you can smooth it out and find a way around the “ruts”.

Average people compare them self with other people, that is why they are just average.  To raise above mediocrity and be above average you need to compare your self to YOUR potential.  ARE YOU LIVING UP TO THE POTENTIAL YOU KNOW YOU HAVE?

Life some times it beats us up and tries to beat us down, there are lots of cuts and bruises along the way but as long as you have a vision of what you want to achieve and you stay on course and remain dedicated to your own success there will be nothing that can stop you.

Be relentless and persist without exception, focus on the results and know your dream.

If you think it is necessary to enjoy the process, you are wrong.  It will exhaust you, frustrate you, and anger you.  The only thing that is necessary is that you continue the process with your eyes on the outcome.  You will be happy you did.

From this day forward, claim a faith in the certainty of your future.  There has been to much time doubting your beliefs and believing your doubts.  Use faith as your guide because faith has no limits where reasoning can only go so far.

Believe in the future you cannot see.  That is called faith.  And the reward for your faith is to see the future that you believed.  Expect miracles in your life because that is what faith produces every day.

Do You Measure Up to Lifes Challenges?

by admin, 5 Comments »

titleDo You Measure Up to Lifes Challenges? So how do you measure up? What size of a persona are you? Not physically but mentally. Really, how do you measure up?

Measuring ones own self is something that is not easily done. We have in our minds what we are perceived to be but in reality it might not even hit the mark.

Life is full of challenges, struggles, hardships and it also has the flip side that is all positive but that isn’t what we are talking about here. In positive times you do find some measure of your self and how you would handle situations. When the negative comes into your life and the chips are down that is when you find out the true measure of your self.

What types of mountain do you build in your own life?Did you bring your self to the space you are in right now or do you think that there are contributing factors outside of yourself? Maybe it is none of you own doing that finds you in a difficult position

……..hard to take credit for something that isn’t so good??

I am here to tell you that you are where you are from the choices you have made in the past. Don’t look over your shoulder looking for someone to blame, just look in the mirror.

Now that we have that established, lets see what we can do to change things a little bit.

Your problem is only 4 inches…..Now that doesn’t sound to bad does it? Do you want to know where the 4 inches are? You’re right….it’s between your ears.

We have all been given gifts and the people that really measure up have figured out their gifts and they use it to their full potential. Everything you need is already inside of you.

A person that measures up is someone who sees their problems for what they are, in their true form.

A person that measures up is someone who does not make their problems seem worse than they are.

A person who measures up is someone who makes their problems seem better than what they are.

A person is measured by the size of the problem that stops them. When you hit a small bump in the road and feel like quitting just think what it would be like to encounter quick sand. IF YOU QUIT WHEN THE QUICK SAND HAS YOU STUCK, GUESS WHAT? YOU WILL SINK TO THE BOTTOM.

When the challenge is difficult, that is the time to put up your “dukes” and come out fighting. When it really gets tough you have to to know that the outcome is going to be something worth waiting for.

There is definitely a serious storm before any calm. So gather your “crew” and plant your feet firmly, keep your fist tight and don’t let go no matter what. There is usually a hand outstretched for us in the darkness, it is just hard to see where to reach for that hand.

Follow your heart, be strong and ready to fight, don’t let your fears stop you. When you are out of your comfort zone you have the most potential for growth, so feel the fear and do it anyway!

Change VS Transformation

by admin, 62 Comments »
titleChange VS Transformation

Transformation to Spring

When I tell people that I am in the process of Transformation they usually ask me what the secret of transformation is?  There is no secret really because it is a process.

It seems like a good time to take on this subject so I looked it up in the dictionary but I don’t think I necessarily agree with what it says.

Transformation~ Change the form or condition of- (this is the short version)

The reason I don’t quite agree is that I see a huge difference between change and transformation, the dictionary makes them one in the same.

This is the way I look at it, let’s see if you agree.  When you change something you can always change back.  People can change and eventually drift back to the person they changed from.  You can change clothes but you can always change back.

Transformation to me means a complete change.  When you get transformed you can never go back to what you were before.  Take for instance a cake mix; you open the box, pour the contents into a bowl, add eggs and milk, you mix it all up and you pop it into the oven.  When it comes out it is ready to eat and also it has transformed from a cake mix into a cake.  You can’t change that cake back into cake mix and voila, Transformation.

A person changes in much the same way, only a human is multi-layered.  Many of us change from year to year, maybe we move or change jobs.  The people that are evolving and realizing that they can be all that they ever dreamed are the ones experiencing Transformation.

It is my thinking that Transformation is a kin to Metamorphosis.  A Metamorphosis is a biological process of changing (usually in form after one is born).  The interesting thing about Metamorphosis is that along with the process of changing physically (and mentally) there is a change in behavior and habits.

BINGO!! A change in behavior and habits.  This is necessary to evolve and Transform.  If you keep old habits and behaviors you will never experience full and complete Transformation.  You don’t have to change everything at once, you just need to change something every day.

Soar with the Eagles or Quack like a Duck?

by admin, 12 Comments »
titleSoar with the Eagles or Quack like a Duck?

Quack like a Duck

Interesting question isn’t it?
They are both birds so why not?

Here is this Duck. It swam up to our boat and gave us a few “quacks”, swam around us a few times. Figured that we weren’t going to toss him anything so away he went, to the next boat. I had some thoughts right then but that’s for another time.  The other boat didn’t offer anything either so he grabbed one of his friends and came back and circled us once again.

About that time I looked over head and saw this Eagle soaring over us in the sky. There were several others as well but this one was a little closer. They cruised over the water and came just a little lower. I noticed that little fish were jumping all over the place.

I sat back to watch and soon enough this Eagle puts his wings back and heads to the water, swoops down and grabs a fish right out of the water with his powerful talons. Picked up the fish and flew away. I was totally awe-struck!!

Soar with the Eagles

I thought to myself that I wouldn’t mind being that Eagle. I admired how sure he was and how he calculated what he needed to do to get that fish. He was patient and focused on what he wanted, then had the sharpness and strength to carry it off (the fish that is =0).

The duck was depending on a hand out.  He wasn’t offering anything in return and he was moving around from one opportunity to another.

I knew at that point that I wanted to be that Eagle so much more than I wanted to be that Duck.

The eagle was heading home with his days work ready to feed the family and live another day.  The duck headed off to nibble on the plant material growing at the waters edge, waiting for another warm sunny day and another boat to arrive, maybe with a bag of chips or some crackers.

Attracting Customers or “Clustomers”?

by admin, 26 Comments »

Customer or “Clustermer”

This isn’t a joke.  Do you attract customers or “clustomers”.  Never heard of a “clustermer”?

Let me explain something to you here.  It depends on the value you offer if your customers will turn into a “clustermer”.

A customer is someone that finds value in what you have to offer.  They find out about you and decide if they want to do business with you.  When they do decide to do business with you they want to receive the value that was promised.  How was the connection with this customer?  Are they just satisfied with what they received or are they totally ecstatic?

This is a good question to ask your self.  If your customers are just satisfied they may remain a customer from time to time or watch you from afar to see what you are up to.

How do you make a customer ecstatic with the value you provide?

First of all you have confidence that the offer to your customer is a match and just what they are looking for.  You do this by LISTENING to what they say.

Secondly you follow up with your customer and find out if they are happy with what they received and find out if you can be of any other service to them.

Thirdly you keep in contact with them with auto responders and emails sending links and further information based on their original purchase.

When you put your customer first and make them feel valued and offer value to them, they will return to you again and again and purchase more value from you because they know and trust you.

You have just created a “clustermer”.  A “clustermer” is a customer that buys from you again and again many times creating a “cluster” of purchases.

A “clustermer” is your most valuable asset.  They know and trust you.  They tell their friends about you and refer people to you.  They return again and again to you with little or no effort on your part.  You save the time and money of having to find new prospects.

The effort you put into the initial sale to a customer could be the most important action you take to build your customer base.   Building trust and confidence in the customers you have and turning them into “clustermers” for you.

A Master Marketer

A Master Marketer

No, I am not insane, let me explain.

The other day I took off in Gordon’s truck and the furry girl wanted to come.  I was running various errands around town, usually she is with Gordon in the truck running errands but that day it was just the girls.

The first thing I noticed was that we were going to need some gas so I stopped at the gas station.  At the moment I pulled up to the pump Lil’ started poking me with her cold wet nose.  I knew she wanted something so I looked back at her.  She didn’t say a word but she didn’t have any problem letting me know she wanted the back window down.

The attendant came over to pump my gas and she sat there so pretty waiting to be noticed, at full attention with the tip of her tail giving a little wag.  I was watching her “marketing technique” and thought she was crazy, but then I had no idea at this point that she had friends all over town.

She wasn’t getting the attention she wanted so she gave a little yelp.  the person pumping the gas knew her name and gave her the treat she was marketing for.  She quickly ate the treat, I couldn’t believe what happened next, she was actually trying to convince her friend that she needed another treat.  I assured him that wasn’t true and no more treats were necessary.

That chore being done we headed off to the bank.  I pulled up to the drive thru and again was being poked by the wet cold nose, by this time I knew the drill.  I rolled down the back window and she started her marketing once again.

Her eyes had the sweetest, softest look and she was batting her 3 inch eye lashes at her friend, her mouth was open just enough to see her soft pink tongue and her bottom lip was pulled down so you could see her teeth (that’s how she smiles).

Once again I found that she had a friend that knew her by name and knew what she wanted and sent a treat out to her that she devoured (I was happy this treat was smaller than at the gas station).

We were off again to finish up our errands and on the way home, I decided to stop and get a coffee, you guessed it the drive thru window.

Once again, the nose pokes, the window rolled down, sweet look on her face, full attention, little tail wag and sure enough here came the treat.

Lesson learned!  I had my marketing lesson for the day from a place that I wouldn’t have imagined.  This is what I learned.

Never once did Lilee think that she was NOT going to get a treat.

She used her most winning personality and put a smile on her face.

She gave these people what they were looking for, a cute happy face and she made them smile. She provided a service and she was rewarded in return.

She used the same technique each time, just adjusting slightly depending on who she was marketing to.  I also notice that the only person she gave a yelp to was a male.  She never did make a sound when she was marketing to women and yet she got the same results.

Not only did I get my errands done that day, I learned a valuable lesson in it’s simplest form and this is how I interpreted the lessons into human form.

Have a positive attitude

Have a happy disposition and a smile

provide a service

Ask for what you want

stick to the system that works for you.

Make slight adjustments depending on who you are marketing

Just six little things that you have the power to achieve could make you a Master Marketer too, just like Lil’.
